Caritas is an international welfare organization of the Catholic Church, committed to social justice, charity, and supporting people in need. Under the motto “Christmas – A Time to think of others,” we are supporting two local Caritas projects at our headquarters in Schwelm:
Caritas Wish Tree: Making Children’s wishes come true
Many children have wishes that their parents cannot fulfill due to their life circumstances. The Caritas Wish Tree in Schwelm collects heartfelt wishes from children in disadvantaged families and ensures that these wishes come true at Christmas. We are delighted to contribute so that children’s eyes will shine on Christmas Eve.
Supporting the Food Bank: Help that arrives
Especially at Christmas time, it is important to think of those who rely on support. With a financial donation to the Food Bank, we want to help ensure that people in our region can enjoy a festive meal.
The gifts for the children and our financial contribution to the Food Bank will be personally handed over to Caritas by our CEO, Hartmut Schröder.
