To this end, we check country-specific regulations relating to the export and import of our products and ingredients and ensure compliance with strict checks. In accordance with the European REACH chemicals regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (EC 1907/2006), we take responsibility for our wire drawing lubricants and carry out regular checks to ensure that they comply with or exceed requirements.
In addition, Traxit wire drawing lubricants are classified and labelled in accordance with the United Nations GHS system of classification (“Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals”) and the corresponding EU CLP Regulation (“Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures” – EC 1272/2008). Comprehensive safety data sheets provide users with information about statutory requirements and the proper handling of the substances.
As the wire drawing industry’s partner, we monitor legislation and take appropriate measures for early implementation. For example, we were one of the first companies in the world to change almost its entire range of products to borax-free lubricants for the wire drawing industry when stricter limits were introduced.
